I've already had this dialogue with myself back in December or January. I mentioned him as an off-season possibility back while we were still playing. And decided to look into him then.
And I think he's about what Wanya Morris would be. I just don't see anything he has that Morris doesn't. The Steelers just left him out there despite a horrific 2023 and he was barely adequate in 2024; mostly the same sort of excruciatingly mediocre he was in 2022. It's as likely as not that 2024 was a contract year outlier.
That's not a player that's appears to be improving - it's a guy who returned to the very forgettable form he showed in 2022.

Dude, all I did was a call a young player that by all accounts has gotten better every year and coming off a career year an "ascending" player and you have to turn it into an argument. He's not my first choice, maybe not even my second. I literally acknowledged the first time I brought him up as an option for me that I've been dismissive up until this point, but I posted that before there was any strong connection to the Chiefs.
He's average, the hope is that he can maybe keep developing into slightly above average. That's it.
