Naw, not really. Setting aside what Wright would've been able to do with the opportunity here (and an evidently elite guard to run behind in Trey Smith), there were obvious issues with this RB room even WITH a healthy Pacheco.

No, I mean people were fine with Pacheco as the starter, and once they added Perine, they were mostly fine with the depth. That doesn't mean upgrades to the overall room weren't at all desired, but nobody saw this running game being completely unable to provide any explosive runs whatsoever.
Like I said, I wanted Jaylen Wright too, but I'm not going to pretend that he would've changed things much either. That was a long term move for the room. He wasn't even ****ing good as a rookie, and they probably wouldn't have played him much.
