So much is dependent on FA, including LT. We aren't going into the draft with 3 WRs. We aren't going into the draft with 1 healthy TE who has seen any meaningful snaps if Kelce retires. We aren't going into the draft with 1 DT and 2 LBs, etc.
You can't expect to fill all the holes in your roster with rookies. You had a great draft if you can fill 4 holes, one to two immediate starters and some decent, contributing depth in a couple/few more. We have 29 FAs. 3 of those are ERFAs and one of those 3 is a backup K. We can't conceivably make a meaningful impact on the overall construct of the roster with 6 draft picks, 2 of which are in the 7th round.
This is why Geoff is kind of an idiot at times. He has to think about this before saying you don't do this or that in the draft. Do what you feel is best for your team, especially long term. This is why people bashed Atlanta last year for drafting Penix even though it was a good move for the future. There are no guarantees in this league that you'll be in the right position to get a QB you truly believe in. That can be said elsewhere as well.
