The pilot threw the plane into full speed ahead and we quickly climbed away from the runway.
The wings were going up and down 20 feet at a time like a see saw. If we landed at that moment, I am 100% sure a wing hits the runway. The winds were ferocious.
The last 40 minutes of the flight was some of the most extreme turbulence I have dealt with and a lot of nervous people on board.
We recircled the airport and landed about 15 minutes later to the entire cabin full of passengers applauding very loudly.
My little puddle jumper from Charlotte to Lynchburg was held for 30 minutes as wind speeds exceeded safe takeoff levels.
The landing at Lynchburg was no picnic either.......
Drinking to calm my nerves.
