I genuinely hope the Chiefs win the next Super Bowl, and Mahomes walks away with another MVP. Not just because he deserves it, but because it would be the ultimate response to all the unwarranted criticism.

Same thing has happened to LeBron for a decade and a half (entire careers were built on hating the guy on TV for the most insignificant of things, see Skip Bayless), so I'm used to it by now. The media creates their sports villains and Mahomes has become one due to his sheer unprecedented success. Be prepared for that to continue as long as he plays.
