I'm sure he's tired as hell of it. Just sits back and watches Hurts stand in the pocket and make tea while he picks which All Pro he wants to throw it since there's just so many to choose from. It's not acceptable, and I hope his representatives make that very clear to Veach and Reid this offseason.

Even so, Patrick has to protect the football. It's just that simple, regardless of how crappy the OL might be or the weapons not getting open. Just protect the ball, keep the game in range. Maybe something good will happen later in the game. That's what he did against the Eagles two years ago.
The only way to have a completely loaded roster with a big money QB is the void year game. Philly has been doing it for 10+ years, but the Chiefs don't want to go down that path. Maybe they will change their approach, but maybe not. They need some luck to get the right person at Left Tackle. Injury luck. Negotiating luck. And so on.
