On the one hand it’s not curated anymore and you don’t have really good DJs finding music you’ll like. On the other hand it’s as easy as ever to listen to what you want and not what someone is forcing you to as it was during the radio days.

Yeah this is one of my biggest beefs with the way we consume media now. Algorythms make our world smaller. You have to make a huge effort to get out of that.
It was cited as one of the reasons festivals are tanking. Lots of young people only know one or two bands on the bill so they don't see the value. (also, they are expensive, and also stated they don't have a friend to go with, which is one of the saddest facts of all)
