Some of it just comes down to limited possessions. Houston held the ball for a huge chunk of the game. Exhibit A can be seen with the first possession of 3rd quarter, where Houston ran 10.5 minutes of clock.
Buffalo will try to do something similar, which they did last year too. Buffalo held the ball for 63% of the game clock in the Playoff game last year; ran the ball for 180 yards. Last weekend the KC run defense looked vulnerable against Houston with 150 yards and over 5 yards per carry. Would be nice if the KC run defense can do a stronger job against Buffalo, especially knowing that Buffalo ran all over them last year.
