Just classify them as employees and have them sign contracts as such. Each contract includes a one-year non-compete clause, which serves the purpose of the old rule where they had to sit. Base salary is equivalent to room and board plus tuition, with bonuses paid from the NIL fund for whatever they can negotiate.
