It was easily the most aggravating part of my rehab and frankly pretty shocking.
It took month to as much as do a toe raise on my right foot. And for the first couple of weeks, I could use both feet to elevate and then
maybe hold 1-2 seconds on the right foot after raising my left leg.
It just atrophied so damn quickly. That muscle gets a ton of work just living day to day and it doesn't take much time at all for it to waste away if you're not using it.
