Peyton explained that Elway's approach was a big reason why he chose Denver ... John told Peyton what the Broncos would do, what they would not do, and told him they would love to have him in Denver. And when he left John didn't bother him, he knew there were five other teams he had to deal with plus Pete Carroll flying the Seahawks jet to a couple cities uninvited, hoping to meet with Peyton (didn't work). Manning said two teams called every day just to ask whether they had moved up or down on his list.
