First off, as I pointed out, their regular season records are identical. And, playoff are just one of numerous factors to consider. And now let’s consider two QBs with the same number of years, career starts and re season records, plus:
PLAYER #1 goes 1-4 in Ch-ship games, plays one SB, has six ‘one-and-dones’ in 11 Playoff seasons, 3 Leaghas GREAT STATS!
PLAYER #2 goes 5-2 in Ch-ship games, 2-3 in SBs, just 3 ‘one-and-dones,’ NFL MVP, SB MVP, but just pedestrian stats. AND he retires with the most wins ever and most Super Bowl starts ever …….

So why can’t RaiderCellar or anybody else around here admit this simple truth? When RaiderCellar said #1 was better, I asked simply “how did you get to that conclusion?” And, like the rest of you, he ignored the question.
Marino did not suck. But his career stats ever so slowly-but-surely did decrease year-by-year until he and Elway were putting up similar numbers toward the end.
And correct (despite your sarcasm), Elway was never close to the same level as Mahomes. Mahomes, who 9 months ago leap-frogged another Top 10 stalwart into 3rd place on my all-time list. You’re welcome.

just one fewer SB loss). And see here! Jim Kelly is in the Hall of Fame, so that version of Elway would be too!
RC, you must understand: Players enshrined in the Hall of Fame are NOT average. They’re not even above average, they are WAY above average, an exceptional few.
