Broncos led 10-9 at halftime of the Giants Super Bowl … things only got outta hand in the last one minute of 3rd quarter, ended 39-20 ... and Phil Simms played a perfect game. (Someday you guys really have to learn that quarterbacks don’t play on defense. Really, they don’t!)

First off, as I pointed out, their regular season records are identical. And, playoff are just one of numerous factors to consider. And now let’s consider two QBs with the same number of years, career starts and re season records, plus:

PLAYER #1 goes 1-4 in Ch-ship games, plays one SB, has six ‘one-and-dones’ in 11 Playoff seasons, 3 Leaghas GREAT STATS!
PLAYER #2 goes 5-2 in Ch-ship games, 2-3 in SBs, just 3 ‘one-and-dones,’ NFL MVP, SB MVP, but just pedestrian stats. AND he retires with the most wins ever and most Super Bowl starts ever …….

Obviously PLAYER #2 is the Winner!

So why can’t RaiderCellar or anybody else around here admit this simple truth? When RaiderCellar said #1 was better, I asked simply “how did you get to that conclusion?” And, like the rest of you, he ignored the question.

Marino did not suck. But his career stats ever so slowly-but-surely did decrease year-by-year until he and Elway were putting up similar numbers toward the end.

Okay, fine. Take away Elway’s last two years. Then his career is VERY similar to ??? JIM KELLY! (just one fewer SB loss). And see here! Jim Kelly is in the Hall of Fame, so that version of Elway would be too!

RC, you must understand: Players enshrined in the Hall of Fame are NOT average. They’re not even above average, they are WAY above average, an exceptional few.




You guys’ complaints are really weak stuff … and the weakest part is – (well the WEAKEST is how you constantly make up quotes and misquote me in order to make points), but the second weakest weakness is you over and over fail to learn from my example.

Again and again I elevate truth and logic (and my opinions) above your obsessive hatred … I properly praise Mahomes, Reid, and practically elevate Lamar Hunt to sainthood. I think 6, pushing 7 straight home field Championship games is one of the 2 or 3 most amazing records in all sports.

But does anybody stop and say, “Well he is right about one thing - the NFL did not strip the Super Bowls from the Broncos. We can complain, but they are valid.”

Nope.

Does anybody say, “I think we have more in common with this guy than we have in opposition, were football fans” and “maybe we should treat him like a human being?”
