Don't expect too much from them and you might not be let down. There's just no reason to put a bar in place for these guys. 6th and 7th rounders are marginally more likely to make a team and make an impact than UDFAs (and even that is probably signal noise; a product of the opportunity they got by virtue of being a draft pick rather than any true distinction in talent from most UDFAs).
Those last couple rounds are almost completely disposable. It's strange to me that anyone bothers calling this a 'miss' - it was barely even a shot. It was one of those throwaway heaves that players make from 3/4 court at the end of a game with a 13 point margin.

I think folks are getting a little carried away with these day 3 picks with the success we’ve had. Mike Danna, Trey Smith, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Watson, L’Jarius Sneed, Isaih Pacheco. Veach has done a great job on day 3, and by all accounts he’s done it again with Jaden Hicks and maybe Jared Wiley.
Roster is pretty damn well stacked IMO. They like the top 4 guys at corner in McDuffie, Williams, Watson and Johnson but that last spot was up or grabs with other draft picks like Nic Jones. This isn’t 2022 where we needed a bunch of picks to take spots.
I think only 2-3 spots were really in play at the beginning of camp, and guys like Steele, Driskell and Roland-Wallace took advantage.
Even with Hadden looking like a bust and Nourzad and Hanson needing plenty of work, the draft class and haul overall looks really good, especially compared to last year.
