Generally men change because of their spouse or kids. Not all people do. Plenty of people seem content to just be shallow and greedy their whole lives.

And men became soft. Nothing is gained without sacrifice and many young people aren't willing to sacrifice anything. I've seen it more and more commonly in Gen X and below. The things I've watched people do because they "don't wanna' lose their job" is crazy.
