Clark may be less the savior and more the sacrificial lamb. For as many people who tune in to watch her score points, just as many want to see her get beat to shit.
Besides, it's too late now for the league to start cracking down on hostility because Clark hasn't been the only 'victim'. It's rather rampant. If the WNBA takes a hard stance now, it'll only fuel the anti-Clark sentiment and an inevitable belief that the league is softening itself to accommodate Clark and her inability to adapt to pro-level physicality.

Totally agree and finally someone gets it

. Clark has got a huge Nike deal and is already worth more than the vast majority of the players she steps on the court with so acting like she's having it tough Is silly. Angel Reese was cut down by the neck in a previous game herself so Clark isn't the only one getting tough love. But the fact that there is both a big love and a big disdain for Clark is what's driving this publicity and long may it continue cause I've grown to love the sport now.
