No, I'm pretty sure they just destroyed KC's WRs for a flukey series of drops in the reg season.
So you think KC dropped from the 5th-best supporting cast the year before to 13th? The same roster minus replacing two mediocre tackles and swapping JJSS for Rice, with a vastly improved defense? Makes a lot of sense.
Meanwhile, Denver's supporting cast magically rose from 25th to 11th last year.....how exactly? By giving away some of their most talented players and adding no difference-makers? Also makes a lot of sense.
Btw, since PFF is your go-to mediator, here are the number of players on each roster with a PFF grade of 80+ last year.
KC: 11
Denver: 2 (a guard and a backup RB)
KC has as many players rated 80+ as Denver has 70+. Meinerz is the only Denver player that was even close to elite at his position per PFF grades.
I really thought you'd finally given up on the "Denver has a better roster" line at this point. This just gets more hilarious every year.
