I don't know if this was discussed anywhere, in any of these threads, but after watching the game again, I noticed what may be the most important HIGH FOOTBALL IQ play of the game.
On the most pivotal defensive play of the game, and season, we had to stop the Niners on 3rd down, or the season was over. The Gang Bangers could have run out the clock and kicked the winning FG if they picked up the 1st down, like we did against the Eagles.
Spags blitzed McDuffie, and he knocked down the pass.
The HIGH FOOTBALL IQ moment of the season was how McDuffie pulled his arms and hands down after deflecting the pass, and he somehow managed to avoid hitting Purdy in the head/helmet.
If you watch the play at half speed, you can see that pulling his hands/arms down was a consciousness, purposeful decision. Honestly, as fast as he was running, and as aggressively as he swatted at the ball, it's a miracle he didn't make contact with Purdy's helmet, or even his head and shoulders area.
Thank goodness Tyreek was a greedy spotlight seeker, who was butt hurt that Kelce got so many targets.
