There were abysmal calls in all of the playoff games this weekend and these are supposed to be the best of the best crews. What I don’t understand is why they don’t let an “eye in the sky” overturn what’s called on the field when it’s clearly wrong (the horse collar tackle or the false start that wasn’t today). It may not allow for judgement calls like the Taylor block in the back to be overturned but a lot of bad calls (Rice not getting the first down, etc) like these would be fixed nearly instantly if the league could buzz the refs and tell them they’re wrong whenever they’re wrong.
