They benched him because of performance and play and because they're going to let him go at some point in 2024. Money is of course a factor and as a business why would I have the risk of having to pay 30 some odd million dollars for something I'm going to get rid of. They want to get rid of him because the coaching staff and team works all week on a game plan and then on game day Russell does something else. Russell Wilson is a great streetball player but running a planned attack is not something that is in a skill set.
