The Chiefs went all in from the moment Patrick was a rookie QB. 4 years that lead to 3 Super Bowl appearances and 2 Super Bowl wins. Sammy Watkins, Honey Badger, Frank Clark (love or hate him).

You guys seem to think Veach was the catalyst for this new deal. The old one was fine but by all means Patrick wanted more money. He said as much in his presser after the restructure. So it was Patrick that wanted this.

They also said that the contract would be picked up again at some point. Probably in a few years.
