This narrative changed after the Tyreek deal and now it's this thing that keeps us from re-signing elite players and putting players around him. The re-structure definitely doesn't help the case.
I'll still hang on to the contract still being flexible if they choose. They just haven't chose that for some reason. I.e. using money from the backend of his contract to raise his numbers up the next 3 years instead of using cap space from this year and giving yourself room to sign players.

Well this off-season we should be able to go and spend quite a bit, especially if we don't resign Jones and cut MVS. That'll put us over $60 mil in cap space I think.
