I've made the same argument about Hopkins over and over and over and over and over again but this thread is littered with those who ignore it. It's patently absurd to criticize Veach for focusing on other areas and not having perfect foresight to go in a different direction and eventually circle back to Hopkins when he became available.
Others have complained that we should've traded for Ridley last year despite the fact that he wasn't going to be available the entire season and we had traded for Toney a week earlier.
There's no logic, just a lot of emotion and needing to feel right with MM and others.
