I have no clue how the Packers ****ed that up for so many years, but would love to know exactly how this past year has gone down with the Chiefs.
I really have to assume Mahomes is signing off on certain moves or at the very least has a pretty damn loud voice in what to do in terms of signing free agents or someone at the trade deadline, etc.
A few people have a specific ax to grind with Veach or Reid or whoever, but what is Mahomes' role in all this.... and is the problem that they DO listen to him? Is Mahomes saying he's good, can make it work, spend money elsewhere... and Reid or someone should say nah, you're getting Hopkins.
They were probably all wrong in some degree and I'd have a really hard time believing if they don't win a SB this year (or maybe even if they do), they're not all - including Mahomes - saying, well shit that didn't work, and doing what they've done in recent years for the offensive line and defense.
