Because for 80% of that football game, Mahomes was not playing good football. At all. And it'll get lost in the Watson/Kelce/MVS ****ery down the stretch, but Mahomes had a BUNCH of chances to put that game away and simply didn't do so.
This is another time where we're putting it all on 'his weapons' while not really acknowledging that he wasn't doing himself any favors at all throughout that game.

He was worse against Detroit, hell he was worse against Miami and the Donks. This was the WRs and the OTs s***ting the bed. He wasn't great but he was light years ahead of his supporting cast in this game compared to the Lions and others. He's been off no doubt but i don't think this game was on him.
