It’s almost like maybe the WRs, Mahomes, and Reid all have some role in the regression. Like many of us have been saying. That it’s not just that our WRs this year are such a step down and don’t know how to play football. That it’s all more complicated and holistic than that.

In 2021 our offense stumbled despite having the same guys as 2020 when Sammy couldn't stay on the field. Defenses threw deep zone and all we had were burners. We had the wrong guys for what defenses threw at us.
So it doesn't matter what defenses threw at us last year. Maybe our current WRs do fine last year. But right now like in 2021 we don't have guys who can adapt. That is on them. If you triple down on running the ball and the entire league gears up in the off-season to stop your specific running game, I'm not blaming the RB for running uphill.
