The OP and most follow-up arguments have been that this group of WR's SUCK. As in, from week one, this is as good as they can be, they have no talent, it's a garbage room.
Most of us on the other side have been advocating for patience; that the young guys are learning and while inconsistent, the talent is there and they'll get better.
I thought we might well struggle early, in fact, I thought we might be .500-ish around now. However, the defense has been much better than I thought-and I thought it had a chance to be very good.
WR's are vastly over-valued on the FA market, and if we're paying Mahomes AND trying to have a defense, the choice was to either beef up the OT position (they did) or pay market price for a plus veteran WR (they did not). Either way you go, you have to draft and develop the other. They chose to keep Mahomes upright first, and I don't disagree with that.
They look good in spurts, and then they disappear for stretches. It's maddenly inconsistent. I get all of that.
I trust Andy Reid, Nagy, and Mahomes to get it together.

I think it's understandable for many to think our WRs aren't very good while trusting Andy, Reid and mahomes will figure something out with what they have. I don't think anyone in this room has really flashed potential this year except rice. That's where we disagree. And I get your reasons for not wanting to afford a WR but I still stand firm that dhop or thielen would've been an absolute steal given how much value they'd provide and that was easy to afford bc it was just a 1-2 yr fix.
I think we are more making it work because we made a miscalc and that's ok. Im pretty at peace with it because I believe they recognize the problem and they'll find a way to patch it up short term and veach will make it better this offseason.
