It could but we also were in an age of unprecedented first contract QB talent. Now we have half of teams with a high dollar QB. Even if that takes a few teams out of the mix for a WR that's substantial. Even more teams get taken out since we also had and still have substantial first contract studs at WR. Guys like tee Higgins and chase and Jefferson haven't even been paid yet. It'll drive the market up for the best of the besf but leave way less dollars for everyone else.
I also think we're seeing way more cautionary tales of WRs miserable with their qb situation.
Youd have to think the WR market becomes way more reasonable soon.
