Then again, that's EXACTLY the argument one could've made against signing Justin Reid and it's hard to find anything to complain about there.
What's the WR middle-class looked like over the last few years? Jakobi Meyer's been a nice get at his price point, MVS has disappointed. I'm sure there are loads of other guys in there.
It doesn't feel like that's generally a value play, though. Typically you pay for your superstar and get something at/near value or you go cheap and hope you hit on some nice bounce-back seasons here or there.
I can't think of a lot of guys that have fallen into that middle ground of reasonable 2-3 year contracts that have been strong contributors.
