I think a big part is the mindless WR rotation. Look at box scores around the NFL - teams with good offensive performances generally have 2-3 receivers with a significant chunk of targets and then everyone else maybe gets a couple of targets a game. In games where the offense has struggled (or every game besides LAC and CHI) you generally see 7+ receivers all with a similar amount of targets. If you are spreading the ball around that much with nobody but Kelce getting a significant amount of snaps, routes, and targets relative to everyone else then something clearly isn’t right.
We’ve always been told Reid can scheme anyone open, so what gives? Pick your “go to” guys and find ways to scheme them open. Make 2-3 guys a priority in the offense. Hard for anyone to get in a rhythm when you’re constantly switching up the rotation. Also, MVS and Watson should never be on the field at the same time.
