I totally agree, but at the same time the "because Chiefs" crowd of yesteryear could recite the play by play of the 2nd half of the Colts playoff loss off the top of their head as proof they shouldn't ever get excited if good things are happening.... but now the opposite is true where bad things only happen occasionally and everyone completely forgets we talk about "this game is for the one seed!" and stress the **** out after every loss, then everything changes and the Chiefs figure it out anyway.... every. damn. year.
So, I feel like that's partly the PTSD effect and taking losses far too seriously, and even so many years into Mahomes, not allowing yourself to just enjoy the ride because they might not win the SB every season.
