Mahomes and reid need to be better. But of course there will be more excuses when they are working around a WR group that has been maybe the worst in the league. The root cause is bad wr play and Reid and mahomes underperforming are symptoms.
When mahomes does trust his WRs, they make mistakes - key drops, bad adjustments, badly missing their spots. When he doesn't trust them he presses. And when teams like Denver throw a spy on him he can't just bail. If you're going to ask him to take what he's given these WRs can't be messing up. Tiny mistakes are drive killers if we're going to be an efficient offense. And efficient offenses have to be capped up with red zone effectiveness which we don't have right now
I mean, we all agree that skyy/toney/mvs have been flat out bad regardless of mahomes. Why can't we just start there and say maybe we should adjust our rotation. I want talent but right now all i want is consistency and reliability so we can get into some damn rhythm.
