They've made a serious investment and that's the problem. They have 4 guys out there playing who were taken in the first 2 rounds of the draft and they're not getting much out of them other than Rice and he's made some mistakes too.

Of course, and it comes down to the scouting part in terms of identifying receivers, because outside of Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs haven't really developed a receiver worth a lick in quite some time.
But at the same time, it could also be a coaching issue in regard to developing them as well. I don't know. What I do know is that whatever they are doing right now with this receiver group, isn't working, and that needs to be addressed.
I think we're long past the point of trading picks or drafting (assets) for a pet project/high risk type of players that isn't really panning out.
