So mahomes operates out of rhythm. He doesn’t trust most of the guys on the field. And as we’ve seen time and time again when he is off rhythm he does dumb things like ignore his checkdowns.

Beyond all the other bickering and complete guessing in this thread, this part is true, where armchair quarterbacks find still frames with no context on progressions or anything else, and certainly can't see what Mahomes is seeing from his vantage point... all Mahomes has to do is slow down the game to single frames in the all-22 view and he could seriously pick apart defenses!
Of course, quarterbacks sometimes do miss open receivers, too... the all 22 hindsight gets obnoxious sometimes though.
