If you’re about to offload a bunch of players for picks, then there’s plenty of other positions you can draft to start building your roster, while shedding those contracts. A rookie LT gets you 5 years of cost control at a high salary position. Same with Harrison Jr. Why would you want to throw a rookie qb out theee with that squad of talentless players (talking about after the fire sale)? Alex wasn’t the quarterback Andy wanted, but he made it work until he could get someone to run his offense. You don’t think Sean can do that? If your defense wasn’t absolutely trash, you’d probably have more wins than you do. That won’t change with a rookie quarterback.
