Our offense at its best can be immune to bad games. It is way harder for our defense to avoid bad games especially in the playoffs where even against great defenses good QBs will have games where they play out of their minds. So yeah, we will be fine, but I disagree with O.City’s idea that we build greatness everywhere and then use the leftover pieces to build up our passing game. I think our top motivation is to build up the best possible passing game (within reason) so that you need way less of the defense.

I'm curious where I've made that my idea?
The goal is to have as well rounded of a team as you can. Not "build this" or "Build that". We've literally seen them put the best passing game in the league out there and not win with it, so they had to go build the defense to get stops. That best passing game in the league, got shutout for an entire half in the playoffs.
It was also built when the QB didn't cost 55 million dollars a year.
