I don't think that's particularly wonky or overpowered. Pretty in line with normal activity in the universe, really. This planet is also pretty tied to the Dark Side, based on what they've said, which I'm sure they're tapping into.

if they're coming back to the Mordis storyline, Skoll could be chasing becoming the new Father? He walks the line between light and dark, being of neither?

I think that's more likely than diving in to the wonky-as-**** Abeloth stuff. I like Aaron Allston in general, but that stuff was trash.

I agree about Ahsoka reaching out to Shin. That was really nicely in character, and that really fit what Dawson can do well. And Shin is really good at portraying the conflict and self doubt subtly (*cough* Hayden Christensen *cough cough*).

I hadn't thought about Skoll becoming a Mordis God. I have read some stuff speculating that Anakin became one.
