Simple inertia says you had Watson playing really good ball for most of the season and so he has that CB3 job in pretty good order; don't fix what ain't broken.
But they recognized that Williams moved past him and you could see it in their pre-season rotations and practice reports.
Good on Veach for bringing in the talent - no question. Good on the coaches for recognizing it and making some of the kinds of moves on their depth charts that lesser staffs don't.
