Without Toney we're kind of in a bind.
I think the most obvious improvement would be Rice working as the #2, but we still don't have anyone to do what Toney should be doing.
MVS is limited and has been fairly consistently a 2 receptions a game type of receiver for us. He's a deep threat but he can't do what you need from a #1. To me he seems to struggle with physical defenders.
We'd all like to see Moore improve but he doesn't have it at this point. Watson is a journeyman/role player.
Is it Ross? He's got almost no snaps at the pro level. He had two great college years that were 2018 and 2019. I hope they try to bring his snaps up, but he's totally green.
Going with this new WR group, all of whom have significant questions surrounding them, was a big risk and we're living with that risk week to week.
