From Reddit:
The coming of Mahomes was a harbinger of death and misfortune for the rest of the AFC West. Kansas City now shits gold, as if Andy Reid was Tywin Lannister... while Denver, LA, and Oak Vegas conspire to outdo each other with continually unique, but increasingly outlandish and pathetic meltdowns. Injuries, locker room dramatics, blown leads, bad trades, worse coaching hires, and whatever voodoo or bad joke keeps the Chargers hurling good rosters into an abysss of mediocrity with abandon... All makes for pretty boring theatre for us loser fans. Two weeks in, it's almost undebateable how it finishes - LA and Vegas showing promise but tripping over themselves to the tune of 7-9 wins, the Broncos showing grit and dragging themselves into the same range.
Remember for one summer in 2022 when this division was gonna send 3 legit contenders to the playoffs? In reality, it's 3 clown franchises embarassing themselves, while Mahomes runs victory laps around them. I'd be shocked if the Chiefs don't keep their division title alive through 2030.

Every curse Mahomes breaks adds a curse to his division rivals. Only explanation.
