We let up inside the 5 at the end of the game when we could’ve gotten another TD. And Taylor was by FAR the more limiting factor for our offense today than anything the receivers did in that phase of the game.

The goal is to have an offense play to its capabilities. We have three GOATs on offense. And yeah we’ve seen that those three guys can carry a LOT of weight.
But we’ve overestimated how much they can carry and some of us are tired of this overused rationalization that they should because they can. Kelce will be 34 and is it becoming painfully obvious that we should start protecting him? Like, when a defenses whole strategy is to have 2-3 guys clobber him maybe give the dude some help?
The WRs are a big problem right now. How can you possibly say they’re not? I get if you want to be optimistic that they’ll get better. But they killed just as many drives as our OL did. I refuse to accept that mahomes can’t read the defense or just stalls drives. Or that one mistake is so devastating that it kills drives every single time. In fact we’re making mahomes worse because he’s overcompensating and he’s hesitant to throw to guys who might **** things up.
We didn’t make mistakes last year. We made a ton of them two years ago and this year. The big difference is this year we don’t have any reliable weapons (yet) to recover from mistakes. So every small mistake is a drive killer.
