The defense Denver runs doesn’t do well against offenses who want to dink and dunk and run the ball. It’s designed to take away throws down the field. The McDaniels and Gruden offenses gave Fangio, Evero and now VJ’s version of the Fangio D, fits.
VJ was able to limit Josh Jacobs, which Evero and Fangio never did. Jacobs averaged 103 yards, 4.7 YPC and 1.3 TD's against us the first 7 times he played us. VJ held him to 48 yards, 2.5 YPC and 0 TD's.
