I don’t expect it to be a well oiled machine immediately. It’s why I pushed for a bandaid wr. It’s why I’ve been pushing for rice/Ross even if it means some bumps early on. But our inexperience doesn’t change that kelce plays a giant role and in a twisted way I’m glad we saw it.
You and I are both good with the current experiment even if I’d like to be even more aggressive. I didn’t like the pre draft mentality that we just need quality depth kelce and mahomes can elevate. That’s how we wait and wait for guys like skyy to fall to us. I’ve warmed up to our wr approach once we went all in on rashee/Ross. And you have to admit you’re warming up to what a wr1 talent can do now that you’re seeing even flashes of what that can do to elevate our offense.
Good. So let’s keep on the gas. We saw the bar we need to raise if kelce ever regresses. and it’s going to require a legit wr1 and quality depth.
