Yeah I kinda get this, it's confusing long-term and short-term concerns. I look at that performance and think "man I am not looking forward to Kelce retiring" which is a down-the-line problem.
On the other hand it's also people going over the top on the potential of some of these players and getting a reality check. Donovan Smith was available for $3m for a reason, ditto Ritchie James being cheap and Justyn Ross being a UDFA. Some of these might be genius moves (Tranquil, I'd guess) some of them won't and we'll have gaps that Reid, Nagy, Spags and Mahomes have to work around. It'll take time and it won't always be pretty.
