You have to trust guys to pull themselves out of the funk. It’s frustrating to watch as fans, but you just can’t ever get too high or low. We see Toney drop a pass that results in a pick-6 and immediately we’re all like “bench him now!” But the coaches can’t do that. Then his confidence is shaken, he’ll spend the next 10 days in his head, and the time you need him most, he’ll have built up even more pressure in his head which is likely to lead to a less-than-ideal outcome.
Mahomes will make bad reads and throw INTs. We always tell him to keep firing to work through the issue.
