The biggest liabilities have been addressed, specifically the secondary whose best player was "overthrew the receiver". They upgraded both corners, and Joseph is really good at safety. Jerry Jacobs is serviceable until Moseley gets healthy.
The run defense was hit or miss, and the Carolina game was an anomaly during that final stretch. I trust the current LBs and DEs to handle their assignments, but the DTs are the biggest question marks right now.
Top 12-15 by the end of the year? Maybe. They were certainly trending upward with less talent last year. At this point I'm still like, "Just don't look like shit on national TV, and we can build from that", lol

You didn't mention CJ Gardner Johnson at safety, Barnes looking good at LB, Campbell and Branch being impact rookies, Charles Harris, Romeo Okwara and Levi O being healthy after missing all of last year, expected second year progression from Hutch, James Houston and Kerby Joseph... Drink the kool-aid my friend, this defense has way more talent than the stats last year would indicate.
