Great offense! That _efense tho.... oof. Said it before, saying it again: this Lions team reminds me of the Vermeil Chiefs teams: score a ton of points, but can't stop anyone from doing the same.
What you've got stacked against you here: Mahomes, Kelce, Andy, and the best O in the league. Andy with a whole off-season to prepare. Arrowhead. A crowd plus amped, as the SB banner is raised. Thursday Night Football, season opener energy. This adds up to an absolute blender. Don't feel bad if it is a slaughter... that is an insanely tough way to open the season. Good luck the rest of the way!!

Defense is much better than its record last year would indicate. Over the last 10 games points against went down to 21 per. Lots of players got healthy and rookies stepped up. This off-season the entire secondary save one safety was upgraded, and that was the weakness. And the one safety retained was a rookie last year, and was super good. D line is loaded with pass rushers. LB corps is stacked. Biggest question mark is DT and run defense.
They won't be a top 5 unit, but I expect top 12-15. Which is good enough if the offense can repeat its top 5 performance. I expect some regression there, but the team is built to compete with anyone. The Champs in Arrowhead is a tall task. KC should rightly be favored, but the game will be competitive. Throw in typical early season variance and I wouldn't be shocked to see an upset.
