Loved watching as a wee lad, those great KC/Oak games. Thats what got me hooked on the sport. Have family south of KC and have driven by Arrowhead. Looking forward to actually going to a game there, let alone a nationally televised opener. Curious to hear if the stadium is as loud as the old Silverdome during Barry's years was. Can't miss me, I'll be the old fart in Lions gear. If you're interested, please come visit our forum "Detroit Lions The Den". Hope this doesn't break a rule.
For the game, we didn't play any starters of last year's team during preseason. Having two joint sessions (NYG & Jax), the starters got their work there. Came thought relatively injury free. We have gotten deeper on all three levels of the defense, via a solid draft and key FA signings. Expect heavy DL/LB rotations, we are deep here. Fourth quarter will be interesting.
This is the first game in over two years with starting Oline (Decker, JJackson, Ragnow, BigV & Sewell). Also have a brand-new upgraded RB room, but feel we are weaker at WR than last year. Hopefully rookie TE LaPorta can fill the void. Should be a helava game! Of course, hoping for a Lion win and making it out of there alive.
GOOD LUCK!
