The problem now is Chris has gone public in a challenging manner. The franchise simply cannot give him what he wants because of that if nothing else even if they wanted to. It sets a standard for the way they deal with negotiations. Chris right now is essentially setting the precedence of him being the highest paid over the team and even the fans who have been willing to come out of their own shallow pocket in order to help pacify him. At this point he is like a bad girlfriend that says one thing and does another. I don't think a deal is going to get done at this point. Maybe Cleveland is a place he can go and truly be happy.
