I'm beginning to wonder if all of this (fatrus, Payton, etc.) isn't all a long con to get someone like Caleb Williams. This way, they can LOOK like they're not trying to suck while very clearly sucking. The only reason I suggest this is that there is ZERO chance a team trying to win makes that trade, signs that contract, and then lures an overrated coach out of retirement who is only looking for a pay day.
